Our seasonal Wine Dinners feature new offerings and special acquisitions from east and west coast vineyards paired with culinary creations from Shaw's executive chefs. Shaw's Sommelier curates a show of sumptuous proportions with individual wines specifically paired to the flow of courses throughout the meal. Often the vineyard owners come to Chicago to share their experiences and enthusiasm for the great food and fine wine. This year a Single-Malt Scotch Dinner is in the works for connoisseurs of fine spirits.

For the adventurous, Shaw's hosts a wild ride to the shores of Wisconsin to celebrate the running of the Smelt, where you will experience the local ritual of Smelt Fest. More than a little fish, the Smelt is a cultural phenomenon and delicious too.

At Shaw's Royster with the Oyster festival, you will share a special fellowship, the quest for victory, and a culture of seafood lovers who gather by the thousands under a party-filled tent slurping oysters and dancing to pulsing rhythms.

Something for every season

Throughout the year, Shaw's celebrates with festivities that expand their menu and bring you seasonal offerings from all over the country, beginning with the Shaw's Crab Festival that marks the harvest of the Dungeness crabs off the Northwest Coast. Part of this crab celebration will last all year long with the "Triple Temptation" family-style crab feast being added to Shaw's regular dining room menu. Spring is the traditional romp to Wisconsin for Smelt Fest in the town Port Washington. Summer is two months of Lobster Festival and the best lobster boil this side of the St Lawrence Seaway. Throw in a few special wine tastings presented by regional vineyards from across the country and you're ready to Royster With The Oyster, the king of celebrations when the leaves turn gold and a special Oysterman is nominated to the Oyster Hall of Fame.
